Swim training
This morning saw the second swim session for this week, a gruelling 96 lengths (2.4km) at 7am without breakfast! James gruelling routine will hopefully prove to be worthwhile! Thankfully it is broken down into warm up, drills and full on sets, the time really flies and I'm always amazed at how far I have swum afterwards! This is the most challenging part for me. Only an hour on the bike to fit in and training will be over for the day, whoohoo ;-)
The Start of the journey
Thanks for visiting my Ironman training blog, over the next 23wks I will be training like you wouldn't believe to compete in this awesome event.
This year will be the first year that Ironman Wales is being run - and I am super stoked to have a place. Tenby holds really fond childhood memories for me, so to compete in my ultimate challenge here will be a dream come true - infact my Grandpa, John Pritchard, was born in Tenby, so even more special.
Supporting the RNLI will be pretty amazing too, and a chance for me to give something back.
Literally, watch this space...........
